'Mack' is in the Roath Park area of Cardiff close to the city centre and a short walk from many of the Cardiff University student halls of residence

What some (ex)-students think of their time at Mack
"Mack was a place where I felt accepted - a true home from home."

"Mackintosh Evangelical Church is smallish in numbers ... but BIG on friendliness. It's a really good church for mixing with loads of different age groups not just the student crowd. The teaching is solid stuff and really practical, working through books of the Bible, themes or topical Christian issues."

"I started coming to Mack approx. two years ago after drifting through my first year of university life. As a church it is 'bang on', full of people living out in a practical way what they believe. Mack may not be huge in numbers, as is the case in certain of the more studenty churches, but it is a family and is representative of the broader community in terms of age and sex etc. Oh - and for the poor hungry student types - the hospitality is more than adequate!! So ... what are YOU waiting for ??? - join us soon"

"There are lots of opportunities for students to get involved in all aspects of church life (music, kids' work etc.) and lots of good food is guaranteed with student and fellowship lunches once a month - (always a bonus when the baked bean supply is running low!)"

"I really like Mack, as I feel like part of the church. It is easy to get to know people and everyone is very friendly to students. The talks are relevant and bible based. Also Mack is a church that is open to change and keen to make sure it is supporting students and others in their Christian faith."

"As a student I found out that a very warm welcome awaits everyone at Macintosh evangelical church, a bible believing and teaching church with approx. 100 people of varying ages and from all walks of life. Personally Mack provided me with many opportunities to serve the Lord, to deepen and increase my understanding of God and my intimacy with him. It was also an ideal place to increase my waistline! To use the words of an estate agent viewing of this church is highly recommended."

"When I first came to Cardiff as a student I attended Mack and found it friendly with good Bible teaching - I stayed. That was over 30 years ago!"

"I wanted a church where I could get involved..."
